sycamore
All of a sudden my Safely remove hardware icon went missing .... I'm aware of the process to safely disable the hardware using the run command line : RUNDLL32 SHELL32.DLL,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll but what about the ICON? and I've also checked the notification (systray) area Customize Notifications and the Safely Remove Hardware icon is not being hidden, and restored Defaults settings .... Still no change. Any ideas? and here a screenshot of my startup Liner Programs... I dont see any dodge stuff, DO u? http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/CriusPhilly/starup.jpg Edited September 7, 2006 by sycamore
DreamerES
I know this is an oldish thread but I stumbled across it while Googling for something unrelated. The problem is within Windows UPnP and the only workaround is to remove it. Start > Settings > Add/Remove Programs Add/Remove Windows Components > Networking Services Untick 'UPnP User Interface'
