Hurmoth
Wow, free. Wonder why they'd give it away free? Oh well, I decided to try it. I've always used Nero and Nero 7 seems to crash a lot more than what 6 did. So what the heck, why not try something if it's free.
lhnz
This is better than Nero. I actually can't believe it.

JustGeorge
Anyone know if there is a way to add the ability to rip to mp3 format? It only offers .wav and .wma.
MrBear5587
Is this newer than Ashampoo Burning Studio 6? I ask because I paid for ABS 6 a while back, and v 2007 doesn't show up on their site. Ty.
ZEROarmy
Anyone know if there is a way to add the ability to rip to mp3 format? It only offers .wav and .wma. It's better to convert it to .mp3 or .ogg from .wav after the initial ripping
veduuu
thanks...I've been using Nero 6 until now but I'll give it a try.
Code.Red
During installation it says "Buy the Upgrade to Ashampoo Burning Studio 6!" and on that website it has a picture of Burning Studio 5, so it must be version 5.
JustGeorge
It's better to convert it to .mp3 or .ogg from .wav after the initial ripping Why? If I do it that way, I must rip the CD as .wav then select to make an mp3 cd and finally copy everything back to the PC. Thats going around your ass to get to your elbow, isn't it? Carlos11
The title says 2007 but the image is from version 5 (the current one is 6.x):

AdverseDeviant
thats dumb the current version is 6.30 and its not free. the official site doesnt say anything about this. im stickin to my 6.
kribby
Also, If you go to Internet --> Buy Ashampoo Burning Studio 6...you can pick up the the full version for 10 bucks :) But yes, this looks like a free stripped-down version or Burning Studio 6. The only things that are missing are VideoCD and Backup support... Ashampoo sure has alot of special offers hidden everywhere :shifty:
