Is it possible Microsoft set a time bomb in beta Vista?

I have RC2 installed, was working great, and am not planning upgrade Vista until end of the month, but since Vista public launch, my computer keeps crushing, is it possible Microsoft set a time bomb in Vista RCs and once the rtm released, the time bomb start take effect?
