richardsim7 Posted June 3, 2007 Share Posted June 3, 2007 Hey guys, I need some help. I recently upgraded from my Dell 1505FP (1024x768) monitor to a Samsung SM206BW (1680x1050). I used to have my photographs as wallpapers etc and it was great. Now I have a widescreen monitor, and as you might have guessed, they just don't look right (some are okay at best) Now, my camera (Canon Ixus 800 IS) has a widescreen option, so taking widescreen photos in the future is not a problem, however, the issue is, is there a way to convert my 4:3 photographs to 16:9 (maybe even 16:10 as that's what 1680x1050 is) ??? Sheppard Posted June 3, 2007 Share Posted June 3, 2007 You could chop the top and bottom off the pictures to create widescreen images but then you lose a lot of data.
