Hi, this is my first skin and i hope last, since i just needed to make aero more bearable for me. So i think this is done for me, but in general, it would rather be a work in progress. Especially if someone uses it as a place to start for a complete port of kde plastik or other skin.

- menubar background made gray, and solid (was bumpy gradient)

- toolbar background made gray

- list hover background, such as used in file explorer made gray, since it by default is very similar to list selection, (which can lead even to lost data!)

- taskbar background taken from plastik xp, idea for tray hide/unhide bar taken from clearlooks, done lamely but it works

- start menu button (vista orb) made a bit transparent at the top, not to cover possibly important data below (needs fix - rect visible on UAC screen)

-window border make thinner

-IE tabbar background and inactive tab background made gray (yes, i like gray, and hate vi*gra blue backgrounds)

It works OK also as aero basic.

I posted it on deviantart, (under username stylong also).

What I would probably use more happily is the complete port of plastik to vista (any format), but there's not a one.

also pls forgive me my being a total lamer, I have not seen a photoshop in a lifetime.

TODO:

- rename it, for now original aero.msstyles needs to be replaced (i don't need that, since i don't change skins once i like one :) )

- fix/tweak start menu button translucency

- continue conversion, taking the best of cool OS skins ("minimalistic" some call these, I'd call them "ergonomic" )

HINT:

-to go back and forth between classic and aero without loosing your settings in "advanced classic appearance properties" window:

net start/stop uxsms

net start/stop themes

Please don't tell me that the taskbar doesn't go well with the rest, I know it.
