Hey all,

I've been facing a problem with WLM since yesterday night. I cannot log into my primary account from my computer (which I always use), but I can log into other accounts from my computer. Whenever I try to log in, the messenger keeps signing in for 5minutes, until it fails and gives me an error.

I tried to log onto my account from my dad's computer and it works flawlessly. Whenever I try to log on from my computer, it logs me off from the other place saying I've been signed in somewhere else.

I've reinstalled MSN, cleared my history, cookies, etc. Really don't know what to do. Its real bugging.

Running Windows Vista Ultimate - 32 Bit on my computer

Running Windows XP Professional on my dad's computer.

Thanks in advance,

any help would be much appreciated.

Yesterday I started having a problem logging into WLM. It keeps coming back with error 8100395 saying the service is temporarily out of service. Funny thing is though I can still log into it with the old windows messenger and also through MSN messenger on my phone. Just can't log into any account with WLM on my computer.

I have WLM build 8.5.1302.1018

I tried to uninstall it fully and reinstall twice now. But nothing has worked so far..

If anyone has any ideas about this would greatly appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

Was able to find out what was wrong with my issue.. I am currently using AVG internet security and somehow the web shield part of the software group was blocking it. I had to uncheck the IM Protection option under web shield and then I could connect ok with WLM.

Not sure but maybe a recent update to AVG the other day fubared the IM protection under web shield. So if anyone else has the problem and same error I had and also uses AVG.. check under the web shield and uncheck IM protection and see if that works for you as it did for me.
