A new version of SpeedFan has been released

If you need a tool that can change your computer's fan speeds, read the temperatures of your motherboard and your hard disk, read voltages and fan speeds and check the status of your hard disk using S.M.A.R.T. or SCSI attributes, then you came to the right place.

• Fixed a bug where, after resuming from suspend, fan speeds were not really change

• Fixed an Exotics tab Access Violation
  
• Fixed a bug that caused all of the EVENTS to be lost after entering CONFIGURE

I updated yesterday using filehippo updater, but once thing I noticed about my GPU temp was it is always stuck at 55-56*C.

Either the pins are causing an error, or it really is that hot/normal?

Yeah, I'm concerned what should I do, this program can't detect my fan.

Speedfan is a joke in my opinion, there are plenty of other applications out there that are less bulky and provide the same information. CoreTemp for example

Reference to the guys asking about the GPU temps, they're fine, GPU cores are normally designed to run very hot because they've got so much going on, especially if you're running Vista.

For example, my ATi 4850 idles at about 65?c and maxes out at 92?c.

Anyone heard about that Asus overclocking competition or something? Some of them go as far liquid nitrogen to cool the card down!

Mines at 56-57*C on idle.

I assume it's normal.

From what I recall, anything over 80*C is considered overheating.
