those dont support my x-fi.. ohh well

Unimatrix; I've had NO problems with my X-Fi (XtremeGamer, not XtremeAudio) in either Vista x64 or Windows 7 x64 (same drivers).

Didn't have a problem with the x86 builds of either Vista or 7 either.

I install the applications from the CD in Compatibility Mode (Vista, naturally), and they work without a problem (again, both x86 and x64). I have no idea what the difference is unless it has to do with the chipset in your Athlon64 box (I have the nForce 630i/7100 chipset, which has new WDDM 1.1 drivers for Windows 7; it's the only WDDM 1.1 driver I know of for non-DX10 hardware).

I encounter the same problem since its early build with my Audigy 2 value. The problem occurs once a while after playing games/media for some time.

I forgot, but I did use a particular Creative driver number and the problem went away. Problem is, I forgot :(

It could be one of the modified driver or even using a kx project driver!
