Custom 'New' files

Does anyone know of a way in Vista, and ideally in Windows 7 also, to remove, and most importantly add files to the New File menu ? I am constantly creating New Text Documents and changing the .txt to what ever format I need at the moment, and it's starting to get annoying. I'd love to be able to do new html file, asp file, php file, ss file, bat file, etc..

I would be most thankful for any solutions :)

How to add items:

To remove items, search HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT for "ShellNew". Delete ShellNew for any file type you don't want.

Backup your registry first!

One other quick side-question, is there a way to have more than 1 type of new file ?

For Example..

Blank HTML file ( like a new text document )

Blank HTML with HTML4 Doctype and html/head/body tags

Blank HTML with XHTML 1.0 Transitional Doctype and html/head/body tags

etc ?
