Recommended Posts

I have listed my extensions that I use with Firefox. I am in the mood to find a new extension, either very useful, or just cool. I have tried going through the recommended list on Mozilla's site, but most are crap or I have already. So I am hoping people here can give me some ideas once looking at my list.

Thanks!

These are some of the extensions I have which I didn't see on your list.

Brief - My favorite RSS reader for Firefox. All items and their contents are listed in order.

Coral IE Tab - IE Tab embeds Internet Explorer into Firefox. Coral IE Tab adds support for Adblock and sync cookies.

Video DownloadHelper - Downloads videos from popular sites like Youtube and several others.

DownThemAll - A more powerful download manager built directly into Firefox.

RefControl - Allows you to block HTTP referrers when you click a link, so websites don't know where you just came from.

SmartPager - Intelligently increments numbers in the URL for prev/next page. You can find a version compatible with Firefox 3.5 here.

Tab History - Copies the history of the current tab when opening a link in a new tab. Simple, but I love it.

Tab Popup - Displays a thumbnail of the current tab in a popup. Tab Scope does the same thing, but I prefer the simplicity of Tab Popup.

Tree Style Tab - Shows tabs like a tree. Tabs are indented underneath the parent tab that opened them.

Update Scanner - Scans pages for updates, changes are highlighted in yellow. Useful for sites without an RSS feed.

Here is an updated list since yesterday.

You can edit your original post ;)

I use Stylish instead of Greasemonkey, firebug is ftp right? I don't need that.

And Live HTTP Headers?

And yes, I forgot I can edit the first post, I am used to not being able to edit after awhile.

Firebug is a debugger, essential for any developer, more so than the web developer toolbar.

Edit: I have just now disabled the web developer toolbar after realising that I completely stopped using it and now solely work with Firebug.

Live http headers is also for developers or debugging sites, etc.. I use it quite often as a quick easy way to see what is going on with a website, etc.

As to stylish vs greasemonkey -- not even in the same league ;)

Yea I know, Stylish is 20x better lol It does everything greasemonkey does, all the same scripts plus more.
