Google now lets you comment under each search result.

I just noticed next to each search result in google (if you are logged into your google account) you can comment on an item in the search results.

Hope this hasn't already been posted. Just noticed it. I added a comment to the main www.neowin.net search result.

Yea comments are pretty useless (I think they've been around for a while too....but since it's only visible to the user I never bothered to check them out)

Nobody else can see your comments other than you, and you can only see your comments when logged in with your Google account.

Are you sure nobody else can see them? I get this message when trying to type one:

"Please remember comments are public.

Comments will be visible to others and identified by your Google Account nickname."

If its private then it seems pretty useless tbh... and even if its public it'll just add to the amount of stupid comments on things, like First!!!!111, or hateful comments.

Ha good point!

I think this is a step in the right direction.. it would be really helpful if they let the user manage "projects".. so along with comment a quick save button that puts it in a project folder that is private to the user.. I think that feature would be extremely helpful and would save me time from bookmarking multiple pages and having them local to a computer.
