Neowin Survey just poped up in the bottom right

I just had a Neowin Survey box pop up in the bottom right of my browser window. The options was yes i'll take the survey or no thanks. Also had a neowin logo in the corner of the box. I didn't click anything and it went a way. Is that legit? Or has the site been hacked?

EDIT - thanks brentaal. I was starting to think Neowin was stooping to lows of advertising. It's reassuring to know it wasn't by site administration.

No, the site is fine and unhacked. The survey pop-over is being inserted by our advertising company. We do not allow pop-ups or pop-overs to be displayed on the site, so this must have been inserted by accident. We will contact our advertisers to get this resolved.

Yeah it's an ad, but it is shown erroneously as Dave suggested because it goes against our contract with the advertising provider by a) using our logo and b) appearing in that manner.

The first time I saw it, it was an immediate red flag. Something out of the ordinary. Those I don't click it. Luckily its goal was not to infect you. Listening to security now pays off.

It probably is legit, but that doesn't mean I want to see it.

I've seen it twice. The first time I started to answer the questions, but the survey had an overwhelming amount of questions so i didn't finish filling it out. The second time I saw it I clicked on "No Thanks" and haven't seen it again.
