I always thought Thrice to be more punk than anything else. Probably wrong to think that but there you go.

yeah, see that's sort of what i was talking about: thrice started with a heavily influenced punk sound above hardcore in their first albums; however, they only really only kept the drum and pace of punk (which grabbed my attention). thrice separated themselves from punk by itself, adding great guitar pieces and organized vocals (singing, yelling, and screaming). people tend to like the albums following the first (identity crisis) and those stopping before their fifth (vheissu; their third album being an ep called if we could only see us now) where their genre veers off from the punk more and more then glides into more melodic sounds before the dramatic pop conversion; right in between has an amazing sound. you should check it out, i honestly haven't found a single person who doesn't at least like one album; even people who dislike guitar music in general have given thrice an exception.

These aren't all post-hardcore bands but no one else is really sticking to it so here's a few bands I think you'll like from the ones you listed in your op

You will just have to copy and paste these links since it won't allow me to post anymore videos :p

 This calling. Great song to listen to while driving.

This thread is straying though so I'll repost a few more that I like:

We Came As Romans
Scarlett O'hara
August Burns Red
Texas In July
A Skylist Drive
Blessthefall
Inked In Blood
It Dies Today
Elementary
Parkway Drive

I'm much to lazy to look up youtube videos though. There's more as well but it's late and I'm to tired to think of them. I'll have to look through my music later.

thank GOD someone else knows about beloved!!! beloved are among my favorite bands. and what's with this? no thrice? THRICE??? check out thrice. don't go passed their vheissu album; they turn into some pop genre. the earliest album, identity crisis, has a hardcore/punk sound (well organized punk, in the least; not crazy clatter), but still remains very well focused on melody (as with about all their albums); illusion of safety strives away from the punk, but keeps the perfect balance--about my favorite of all their work; the artist of the ambulance is very well directed and seems to be the "people's favorite;" and vheissu stands as their main focus on melody, and the farthest from punk, but they don't eliminate their hard screams/yells which is respectful. i highly recommend beloved and thrice; they have songs that you WILL become addicted to.

thrice:
illusion of safety
deadbolt

Vheissu was a complete MASTER piece. Identity crisis is AWESOME, I just forgoton to includ it in my op. Artist in the ambulance is meh for me...

to awake and avenge the dead
(the real recording is over the bogus video. don't watch; listen.)

Aight folks, keep em coming! I'll check out every single one and post back, it's just so many I can't keep up and i'm currently at work... And people here would probably freak out if they heard me listening to "satanic music". (just because of the screams  )

Of Mice & Men

A Day To Remember have some awesome songs as well but from what I can tell their sound keeps changing, I'm not sure what the hell they're supposed to be now...

Still, the best is We Came As Romans, there's a new album coming out real soon, they released two new songs on FB/YT already :D

Nice concept, however, her voice is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to squeaky and is more annoying that anything else.

But keep 'em coming!

Maybe if you'll read the lyrics first, you'll give it a second shot :)
