jerzdawg
why the hell is no one looking at the lie the girl told that she was 18??? The article says that the girl "reportedly" told him she was 18. That may have just been what he told the police. Lots of facts missing from the story, he obviously questioned her age when he said she might be 17...i know girls are trying to look older these days.. but 13 year old passing for an 18 year old?... I def think this guy is missing something.... he could pass for a pedo though..

The article also sounded like they were meeting for the first time before the police intervened. lets say he is a pedo but still not guilty until proven. Edrick Smith
The whole legal system is a bunch of FUD. It's also very oriented against screwing up males lives as opposed to vice versa. There are woman out there who do the same thing and get away with it scott free or if they get charged it's not with some type of sexual related charge. The sting setups are a bit iffy too if you ask me because it sounds like baiting the suspect. Although I don't know if the suspect goes out looking for the girl first (as in he's doing it to a bunch of girls and hoping they're kids)? Then the question is what is the real line age wise some 23 year old going after a 17 year old, some 18 year old going after a 15 year old, etc... our legal system is very poorly designed when it comes to this. That said there are certain limits and boundaries you DO NOT cross. Child Molestation, Child Pornography, Rape, etc... that's all an instant go to jail card however a 20 year old guy (basically someone over 18) going after a 15/16/17 year old it gets kind of iffy. Japlabot
technically she or her parents should be in some trouble as well being that a 13 year old would not have access to that sort of ability on the PS3 if they truthfully agreed to the EULA for the PS3 she is too young. EULAs are not binding on criminal law

The article also sounded like they were meeting for the first time before the police intervened. lets say he is a pedo but still not guilty until proven. It was more or less a joke.. I said he could pass for a pedo. The whole legal system is a bunch of FUD. It's also very oriented against screwing up males lives as opposed to vice versa. Sting setups are iffy? Have you watched the dateline episodes?... sure they show the more obvious ones but those mofos know that they are going to see a 13/14 year old girl who is home alone and show up with all sorts of sick stuff. I dont understand how some of you can defend these low lifes. Dont know why you bring up the "age wise stuff"... he is 25 going after a 13 year old... granted he said she told him she was 18 but cmon... drive 10+ hours to go pick up a chick he never met before?... Off topic since the situation doesnt match the article - I do agree some people get screwed by the system 18/16 year olds but they know the law going into the relationship or whatever. Ignorance is not an excuse.. Ill also disagree that a 20 year old and 15/16 year old should be dating. There is no reason a 20 year old guy should be picking up his girlfriend from high school.... Gaara sama
the parent should be more careful and monitors they children more and make sure they are not doing nothing stupid , this thing can cost her her to gt Rape and life as well . i understand that parent can't spend they hole time checking wat they children are doing but is the responsibility of the parent to check and make sure out children are ok. HyBry
I think some girls do look much older than they are. Or it is a matter of perception. As an example to me Rebecca Black looks 17-18. I was surprised to find out she is 13. And looking at that dude, and circumstances under which they met. It is likely he got played. Maybe that was the first time girl took interest in him. So why not go to her.

To me, he looks like your average gamer. And in this day and age, many girls mature physically very quickly. I knew some 14/13 year olds that could easily pass for mature females. And likewise, some 18 year olds that could pass for someone in junior high. This guy was probably unaware of his crime, and now his life is completely and utterly destroyed. drive 10+ hours to go pick up a chick he never met before? I consider some people who I've "never met before" my best friends.

Again, ignorance is not an acceptable excuse I consider some people who I've "never met before" my best friends. Ok, and thats totally possible - but it is HIGHLY unlikely that you have driven 10 hrs to meet them for the first time.

Why not?? if people wanna have sex they will... imagine this guy genuinely thinking she is 18 thought to have a one night stand (dont say u have never done that and he is pedo for doing that).... then end up in jail because she is not 18. +ir0nw0lf Subscriber² Posted October 27, 2011 Subscriber² Share Posted October 27, 2011 As an adult, I'd say the responsibility is on him - the assumption being that kids are not going to make responsible decisions. But she did lie yes! However, Ohio to Florida for a girl? Really???? When you have teenagers, young teenagers killing people and being prosecuted as adults, the assumption that they are not responsible starts to fly out the window. But then again, they are having sex and kids at super young ages, guess that affirms that they can be not so responsible...
