Man gets 13 months for fake breast exams

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (AP) - An elderly South Florida man has been sentenced to 13 months in prison for posing as a doctor and offering free door-to-door breast exams. :shifty:

As part of a deal with Broward County prosecutors, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that 81-year-old Phillip Winikoff pleaded no contest Friday to eight counts related to the fake exams. Once out of prison, Winikoff will serve three years of community control followed by 15 years of sex offender probation.

Authorities say Winikoff offered the exams at a Lauderdale Lakes apartment complex in April 2006. Authorities say he managed to assault two women before he was arrested.

If tried and convicted, Winikoff could have been sentenced to more than 45 years for sexual battery and 10 years for practicing medicine without a license.

Maybe funny to some but breast cancer is a pretty horrible ordeal to go through. For those who are worried about lumps, etc, this guy gave them incorrect diagnosis with possible serious repercussions.

Grandmother had double mastectomy and still has cancer, so I agree on the horrible part.

I think everybody lolling at the part the people actually let a person knocking on their door to grope them, instead of going to an actual physical respected doctor, instead of joe smoe that randomly came to their door

Talk about overkill. 15 years of sex offender probation? I guess someone had to make an example out of him...

Think that's tough? In Michigan he could have gotten up to 15 years in prison. That crap isn't taken lightly in these parts.

So people actually agreed to a door-to-door breast examination? That works?

when I was younger, my friends and I use to always joke that if you knocked on ten women's doors and asked to have sex, you'd probably get the door slammed on you 9 out of 10 times, but it only takes the one to say yes. Apparently that theory might be close to the truth.

So you're telling me that Door to Door Testicular Cancer checker was a fraud! Well damn me! I knew his soft hands and gentle kisses weren't normal medical procedure!
