Was just checking Facebook and saw that the band had just posted this.

Quote

To our family, friends and fans: We have decided to continue on without Howard Jones as the singer of Killswitch Engage. We love Howard and are thankful for the nine years that we've had him in the band. Out of respect for everyone involved we will not be discussing the specific reasons behind this decision. Howard is a part of our family and always will be, and we wish him well. He has left big shoes to fill, so we certainly have our work cut out for us to find the next singer of Killswitch, something we plan on making priority #1 going forward. Most importantly, thanks to all of you for all the support throughout the years and for sticking by us for all this time. We really do appreciate it and we very much look forward to having a new record for all of you in the not too distant future that we can all be proud of. Sincerely, Adam, Joel, Mike & Justin.

Really gutted, I loved his vocals and was planning on seeing them for the first time next time they were playing in Scotland :(

he is a great vocalist, but i got tired of his opera-type voice and the constant vibrato. i've liked KSE since their 1st cd, so i still think Jesse Leech was the better vocalist. he always sounded more raw.

idk - im kind of over KSE now. their cds have only gone downhill since Howard joined. their latest CD is awful. im hoping that their new cd, combined with a new vocalist, will set them straight again.

Pity, I feel in love with their cover of Dio's Holy Diver.

I've kinda shifted over to Times of Grace, the songs are just more entertaining than what KsE has been churning out lately.

being a fan of Jesse Leech, i immediately latched on to Times of Grace... however, i have to be in the mood. their 1st album is extremely dreary, save for a couple songs. it's just too emotionally draining.

I quite like Times Of Grace but I agree, unless I'm in a certain mood I just don't get lost in it like I do with other bands. I really like their lyrics though, I'm getting "Don't mistake kindness and compassion for weakness" tattoo'd somewhere once I get my half sleeve :)
