Huge drugs farm found in

This is the massive cannabis farm discovered at a luxury ?850,000 mansion on ?Millionaire?s Row? - one of the most expensive properties ever used to grow the plant.

Brazen criminals were caught growing 300 plants worth more than ?100,000 in a luxury four-bedroom home on the exclusive street in Barnalby le Beck, North East Lincolnshire.

Police seized the marijuana and arrested two Vietnamese teenagers aged 16 and 18 at the house after a tip-off from a member of the public.

Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Colin Jarratt said the number of plants found in the detached village home indicated that a drugs racket of a 'large commercial scale' had been operating from the sought-after property.

Owner Dawn Wilson said she was 'horrified' to find that her beautiful Waltham Road house had been turned into a drugs factory, with the electricity supply bypassed so the racket would not be discovered.

'This is a huge shock,' she said. 'I just can't believe what has been going on.

'I've been renting the house out since August. This is a nice house and it is in a lovely area. You wouldn't think that someone would use it grow cannabis - it is just unbelievable.'

Humberside Police stormed the home through a back door at about 8.30am yesterday and and specialist crime officers were called.

Sgt Jarratt said: 'This is certainly on the larger scale of drug operations that I've seen in my career.

'For a typical-sized operation, you'd be looking at between 50 and 60 plants, so with 330 plants, this is obviously a sizeable operation on a large commercial scale.

'Each of the plants we've seized can fetch anything up to ?300 on the street, so the total haul is worth a considerable amount, which makes this a significant find.

'We're extremely pleased because every time we do a job like this, it means that we are taking drugs off the street which makes for a safer community.'

Horrified residents, who did not wish to be named through fear of reprisals, said there were no clues as to what had been going on right under their noses behind the doors of the 'beautiful' home.

One said: 'This is quite a shock, you don't expect something like this to happen in an area like this.

'I've certainly never seen anything suspicious happening here, although it is set well back from the road.'

Invest on house ?850,000

so what 8-10 crops to see a return. does seem a little stupid, but im guessing this has been a criminal gang with more than one property. i dont know what the crop rate would be but im gonna say maybe 3 months a piece? maybe 2 so they`d need maybe a year or so.

think maybe there going by ? per plant and not ? of crop?

Maybe it's different in the UK but in Canada 50-60 plants would be a very small operation :/

Britain is now the biggest exporter of pot based drugs.

Britain is full of crack heads too.

We have Vietnamese rent huge homes with swimming pools then empty the pool and grow herbs there.

Asian immigrants deliberately come here to grow the crap as they know the laws are lenient.
