Soul Train creator found dead

Sad news in the music world this morning.

Don Cornelius, the man behind classic 1971 - 2006 dance show Soul Train, was found dead in his Sherman Oaks, Calif., home this morning.

TMZ reports that law enforcement sources say he died from a gunshot wound to the head and officials believe it was self-inflicted. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Los Angeles police are investigating, but there was no sign of no foul play, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Cornelius was 75.

Heard about this earlier this morning right after I got to work. Definitely sad. On another note, apparently Vesta Williams died not long after she appeared on Unsung. And from what I've heard, Don Cornelius was on Unsung not too long ago either. Creepy coincidence.
