it's free because they expect to make money on selling content to you, thats where the real cash cow is

I agree, i was messing with the Daz 3d Studio, and noticed that there wasnt much content, but there is a "daz 3d store" right on top of the content/material box

Also there are very expensive addons/plugins that they sell for it.

Still cool though, im sure there's alot of free content out there.

I grabbed it and ended up going over my monthly bandwidth cap cause the stupid thing didnt reset today like it was supposed to. Ah well.

ahh i hate that! im so glad no ISP around me has an established bandwidth cap. May i ask what your cap is?

Btw, this bryce 3d doesnt seem like they've even changed it from 10 years ago when Corel owned it.
You'd think it'd have better and more realistic quality by now.

Still fun to mess with though :p

Yep. I've been thinking of switching to one of the "no name" local companies but Rogers require I pay a premium of $20 month for the 7 or 8 months I have left on my yearly contract. Plus the company I was considering has an insane activation fee ($65) and they're probably owned by either Rogers or Bell anyway.
