So, that means for most we won't be getting the beta until March. ****ing figures.

You sound like it has been a torturous few years having to choose between Vista and 7, I'm sure a few more weeks won't kill you

It's only three weeks. I'm sure you can wait that long! I'm looking forward to it.

I was hoping for the beta sometime during the week of the 20th. Not smack dab on the LAST day of the month. I'm really itching to try this out!

I hear you.

I'm right there with you itching to try it out.

On top i only have a 512Kb/s internet connection so it will take me almost 2 days to download it

Are we living in the same place? My dorm is capped at just a little bit under that.

On the bright side, at least they finally gave a date so we can stop constantly checking for updates. Even better is that the release is on a Wednesday, so two days of downloading while going to class and studying will take the anxiety of having to sit at the computer to watch the progress meter.

Just for reference this is a pre-beta release?

You know I said 512Kb right? Thats about 70KB/s

I live in Honduras on a tiny island, and this is the best we can get for a reasonable price.

I'll be downloading for 2 days and then installing on my birthday :)

Lol my mistake, I misread as kB.

Well at least some internet is better than none in your case.

    • Ridiculous claim that the labor cost difference of $6000 annually would increase cost per phone by $200. The employees produce 3 phones per month or what?
