An application for Android SMB file sharing?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for an application for my android phone, that allows me to mount it as an SMB network share under OSX.

I have tried FTP services, but this only allows reading privileges due to a limitation in OSX.

Any suggestions or workarounds would be appreciated!

Try EsFile Explorer :)

From what I can find, EsFile explorer allows me to see, and access a shared folder on OSX, but doesn't allow me to create a shared resource on my phone.

I use WiFi File Explorer. It sets up a server on your phone, then you can point your browser to your device's IP address, and download/upload anything from your phone that your heart desires. I can't live without it.

Yes, I have been using this for years now, its great and works, but I'm now looking for Finder integration. ;)

Another update:

ES File Explorer, has had a recent update which allows you to mount your phone as a FTP server.

This is really perfect, just what I was looking for! :D
