still1 Posted March 23, 2012 Share Posted March 23, 2012 Google Authenticator, an important security tool that enables 2-step verification for your Google account all of a sudden became obsolete and was consequently deleted in Google Play store. Its replacement, which can be found here is the version 2 of Authenticator. DO NOT UNINSTALL OLD VERSION BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW ONE 1. Install from here or search in Google Play store 2. when you open the new app it will prompt you with the migrated token and option to uninstall the old Authenticator 3.
