keyboard with S pen capability

I just got my first android, galaxy note. I love the big screen and the pet is great. I have a couple of questions.

1) if i want to use the S pen to compose messages, do i HAVE to use the samsung keyboard?

2) the android keyboard gives me a few symbol options after i type a word right where word suggestions are. I can just click on comma and it is inserted for me. Can I get this on the samsung keyboard?

3) on the samsung keyboard, the suggestion line keeps disappearing everything i hit the space bar and the whole keyboard keeps shifting up and down with every word. Can I make it stop doing that?

I basically want a keyboard that combines functionality from both keyboards. Is this possible? How hard is it to write it myself? Is it as easy as reassigning a couple of keys on the default keyboard to let me use the S pen input?
