I'm both proud of the UK, and disappointed.

Musically, there is no other country that comes close to the UK in terms of influence and quality.

We're still good at sports, including football, rugby, Formula 1 and golf.

We have the SAS, the best special forces in the world.

On the flip side, we have UK politics, and it's utter ****, especially with immigration.

I am proud to be Canadian because Canada is a land filled with multiculturalism, comprised of people from all ethnicities, so much so, that in major metropolis centres of the country there are far fewer Caucasian citizens that foreign ethnicities. That takes the cake for me: Canada's wide appeal as a place where diversity brings people together as opposed to segregating them.

And of course most people have heard the "You know you are Canadian when?" My favourite one includes the one used in the Tide commercial:

?No self respecting Canadian says "let?s wait for a warmer day." -- Because much of the time, a warmer day is a long way off :p

Cheers

We're ranked 2. in the world who drink the most alcohol! F*ck Yeah! (Oh and as it turns out, ranked 5th with the most deaths from drugs(in Europe). Keep in mind our population is just 1.3million) /s

Actually at the moment theres nothing to be proud of except the most beautiful women on earth.

Really? Germany has such a rich and varied history. I've always figured I'd be very proud to be German...

I'm from a generation which was raised to be vary of patriotism. Ok, there may be one or two reasons to be proud of this country's heritage, I'll give you that - 'Land der Dichter und Denker' springs to mind.

Understandable. Patriotism can be used as a tool by those with nefarious intentions. If people rally behind something good, corrupt that "something good" to bring power to your agenda.

The US is doing absolutely the same at the minute. Blaming their woes on a demographic, all the time waving the flag of patriotism.

But such issues are a small blot on Germanic history - a once proud nation and rightly so.

I kinda am proud of my heritage, but I don't let that define me.

I am not so proud to be an american but at least it's better then the middle east or africa...

I had a German tutor at Uni and you could tell he was proud of Germany. He was keen to stress how progressive Weimar Germany was, cinema, art, literature etc. I dont think what came after should mean everything good should be dismissed.

I am proud of Australia (my birth country) because we have such a beautiful country, some pretty nice people, we're a very rich country and have a very high standard of living.

As for Austria (my living country) this is another beautiful country full of amazing history, we have a bad ass language here!, the people are very friendly and also a bit quirky and strange.

Proud to be a; Shetlander first, Scot second, European third,

Proud of the Shetland music, proud of the scots engineering and educational enlightenment, proud of the European friendliness and tolerance,

:)

Never a brit.

p.s. actually, I'm not proud, I ashamed and embarressed by the hypocrasy bigotry and intolerance I see in my so called fellow men everyday :(

    • Yes, it was amusing at the time because even then dbrand was well known for stealing the designs of products from other companies. That’s what they do.
    • Didn’t Dbrand once complain that Casetify was ripping off their designs a well? seems pretty bad of them to try and get around Valve’s copyright this way with that in mind.
    • Dbrand thought they could get away with this Steam Machine case, Valve disagreed by David Uzondu Image via Dbrand Dbrand has cancelled its highly anticipated Companion Cube enclosure for the Valve Steam Machine, which it teased back in November of last year with a concept render and sign-up page, because it did not ask Valve for permission first before manufacturing the case. According to Dbrand, it took the "backwards approach" of building the product first before asking for permission from the copyright holder. Seven months of work went into the project, requiring over a thousand engineering hours from the design team. Workers developed forty-four sets of injection molding tools, making a unique mold for each sub-component of the crate. When the Companion Cube went live on Monday last week, it, according to Dbrand, quickly became the second-fastest-selling product in the company's fifteen-year history, racking up orders for hundreds of thousands of units. Customers eagerly bought the $129.95 deluxe edition or the bare-bones $99.95 version, which the manufacturer cheekily branded as the "Poverty Cube". It was around this time that the legal eagles at Valve descended on the accessory maker with a formal demand. The developer pointed out that the iconic block design remains protected intellectual property from the game Portal, so unlicensed sales had to stop. Dbrand said that all its pleas to salvage the project with the Valve team, including proposals to run a properly licensed release under official terms "with their blessing", fell on deaf ears, so it had no choice but to obey and remove every trace of the product from the internet. If you bought the enclosure, the company said that banks will process your refund by the end of this week, but if it still hasn't arrived in your account by then, you should not hesitate to contact support. The Steam Machine itself is a high-performance console that Valve designed directly to bring PC gaming into the living room. It was announced on 12th November 2025 (the same day Dbrand announced the Cube) and runs on the Linux-based SteamOS, the same OS that powers the Steam Deck. As for the price, due to the shortage of memory and storage chips, the hardware cost landed much higher than people were expecting, starting at $1,049 for the 512 model (without a controller) or $1,128 with the new gamepad. The premium 2 TB model pushes those prices even higher, selling at $1,349 for the standalone console and hitting $1,428 if you want the bundle.
