So I haven't really paid a whole lot of attention, but I've heard nasty rumors that Nintendo hasn't been doing so hot. I know that in the U.S. the XBox 360 is dominant as far as popularity, and the PS3 has the Japanese market cornered, and I've been hearing sad rumors about Nintendo for a while. Well I turned on my Wii today and went to watch Nintendo Week, their version of "Pulse" on the PS3 and Major Whatshisface on XBox Live. As it turns out, the latest episode was dated 29 March, and ended with a little message thanking fans for watching. Did they end it because nobody was watching it, because they're hurting for money, or both?

Just an odd little thing I noticed today, I turned on my Wii for the first time in a long time. Most of my gaming takes place on my PS3.

Probably because no one was watching it - heck I've never even heard of it, and the Wii is on it's way out anyway.

In all honesty Nintendo isn't doing too badly (they're fairing MUCH better than Sony for example) given the events of the last year, and they have massive stockpiles of money sitting around - and the 3DS is selling nicely for them at the moment as their current console, and they have a nice new home console around the corner. They'll be fine :p

That's good to hear, because as much as I love my PS3, there are a lot of good Nintendo games that I enjoy, and I'd hate to see them get sold to somebody like Sony or Microsoft.

They are moving right now to the 3DS. The WiiU will also receive lots of attention to them. It's more like the Wii is already dead and they'll be throwing the last of their tiny arsenal to finish it.

While that's all true, they're still losing money - mostly thanks to the 3DS actually taking a loss on each unit sold.

That is highly unlikely. While it is true they've posted their first loss in 30 years and the 3DS' start was a little slow, Nintendo is at no risk of being bought by a competitor.

They're fine, it's just that the Wii is a done deal with the Wii U out this year.

never heard of Nintendo week myself, lol I thought someone just made that up...

As far as the 3DS, sales aren't to hot from what I understand, and what sales they are making, like The Teej said, they are taking a loss on each unit sold. I know I am planning on buying 2 once the purples come out for my 2 kids.

I just dont know how much interest there are in these shows. i like to watch Pulse occasionally, and i watch Nintendo Video on my 3DS. i used to watch Core on my PS3, but only b/c it was included with my PSN+ sub - and now Core is dead.

@first 3ds wasn't going well, but after a price drop, few blockbuster games latter, they fixed the situation.

They weren't, then they lowered the price and got a few good games and it started selling quite a bit
