Neowin.net Nintendo Network IDs 1 2

Simple premise, put your ID down here, add others! Keep in mind when registering friends on the WiiU using the built in Friend List - the other person won't receive a friend request, so you have to both add each other. To make it easier, consider adding them as a friend in Miiverse too. This allows you to send them a message, so you can tell them you've added them to your system friends list - and that you're from Neowin! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Neowin Username : Nintendo Network ID S00N3R FR3AK : soonerfreak +KoL : KoL028 DirtyLarry : RobotRenegade jerzdawg : jerzdawg Am_I_Evil : Am_I_Evil ~Johnny : Johnny…

Switch question
by jnelsoninjax- 0 replies
- 1.1k views
My niece has a switch and is under 18. Due to her age the store restricts her access to most of the games that are blood/guts/etc. If she were to buy a digital code for a game (in this case, The Witcher 3) would she be able to play it, or is it going to lock her out of it due to her age?

Where is a good spot to buy Switch games?
by jnelsoninjax- 7 replies

I bought a switch for my wife, and I am noticing that the retail stores (Walmart, Gamestop, etc) seem to all be about the same price on the games. Is there a good spot to shop for the games that is cheaper then the big stores prices?

Controller Expensive
by techbeck- 2 replies
- 1.6k views
So I had to order new controllers for my Switch. The left stick kept driving to the left. I tried all the fixes online and nothing worked. The damn things were $80 and I thought XBOX controllers were expensive. I had the controllers/switch for 2-3 years and besides BOTW and ACNH, have not really played it other than that. I still have XBOX 360 controllers that work flawlessly that I spent much more time using.

Hey guys, João Carrasqueira here. Just like last year, I'm working on an article to celebrate the anniversary of the Nintendo Switch. This time, there's actually two of them, and I'd like your help for one of them. Here's what I'm aiming for: I want to make a list of the best games that have been released on the Switch for the past three years. This list is gonna have a few games chosen by myself, some chosen by you, and hopefully, some chosen by some Nintendo-focused YouTubers I'm reaching out to. The plan is to have a good, varied picture of the great games that are on the Switch, without it being focused solely on my opinion. So here…

All new Nintendo Switch Micro?
by sagum- 6 replies

So this isn't an offical announcement of any kind, Picture is actually of a T9 android box, just for ideas. What do you guys think of having a TV only version of the Nintendo Switch? Gone are the Joycon, no touch screen, or any screen. Just wireless controllers or USB ones. Just a micro sized box plays Nintendo switch games, on the TV only. Sounds weird, I know. Probably taking everything away from what most people see the Switch as a handheld console. I recently got a Switch for my girlfriend, luckily managed to get one I might add, and she's been playing Animal Crossing. I've become somewhat addicted to it as well. The thing is, we've got the Switch do…

Switch 'dock' issue
by jnelsoninjax- 0 replies

My niece has a switch and every time we attempt to connect the dock to a monitor via HDMI, the monitor reports no signal. This is an issue that we have been fighting on and off for a year now, and also the switch does not charge when on the dock either. What should I be looking at for more troubleshooting?

A newly published "exploit chain" for Nvidia Tegra X1-based systems seems to describe an apparently unpatchable method for running arbitrary code on all currently available Nintendo Switch consoles. Hardware hacker Katherine Temkin and the hacking team at ReSwitched released an extensive outline of what they're calling the Fusée Gelée coldboot vulnerability earlier today, alongside a proof-of-concept payload that can be used on the Switch. "Fusée Gelée isn't a perfect, 'holy grail' exploit—though in some cases it can be pretty damned close," Temkin writes in an accompanying FAQ. The exploit, as outlined, makes use of a vulnerability inherent in th…

Nintendo Direct March 8th, 2018
by Andrew- 1 reply

So, what do we expect? Well, a look at the upcoming Kirby Star Allies for Nintendo Switch seems likely - it is out next week. More details on the upcoming Switch ports of Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze (due 4th May) and Hyrule Warriors (due sometime during "spring") are also on the cards. Beyond that, well, it'd be nice to hear something of Diablo 3 for Switch but it's probably too soon for that. Continues... Will update OP with the announcements and any trailers later tonight.

I am trying to find an HD 1080p texture pack for Kirby's return to Dreamland for use with the dolphin emulator, but i can't seem to find it anywhere. The only link i've been able to get close enough to is this one: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Forum-custom-texture-projects. However, I don't see anything helpful listed. Only "Kirby Air Ride", which i do not own. Could someone direct me to a better source where i can find the HD texture pack i am looking for or some kind of program that does the trick? I'd highly appreciate it.

A couple of problems with my Wii U gamepad.
by SirWeathers- 1 reply

I am having a problem with my Wii U gamepad. A few months ago, My toddler-cousin snatched the Wii U gamepad out of my sisters hands while he was playing Mariokart 8. Thus, he was running around with it and eventually dropped it, cracking the screen. Today, I finally got in a replacement and had it installed by my neighbor, who i can verify has fixed many other consoles and accessories properly. However, after the replacement, the Wii U gamepad no longer notices the screen. And when i tried to turn on the gamepad, the blue light indicator appeared for a couple of seconds, then faded back out. However, the console turns on properly, and all of the bu…

https://archiverse.guide Nintendo's social media style service from the Wii U days has been archived. You can relive the days in all it's glory by clicking the link above. According to the creators, they used The Wayback Machine as a base, so not everything is guaranteed to be there. It still has most of the important stuff though.

Got a Nintendo Power magazine issue #1 for $42

At a comic bookstore I recently got a Nintendo Power Magazine issue #1 for $42. Not sure it's that valuable as it had already been opened, wasn't sealed and isn't in 100% mint condition, but it's in pretty damn good condition. Still has everything still inside like the poster and stuff. I
