Something I noticed about windows 8 Microsoft hasn't really talked about is how their doing the activation of windows 8 and the limitations and or if their going to enforce the one computer per hardware policy strictly. What are your thoughts on how their going to change or improve the oem part of licensing.

OEM copies should still be limited to one PC install, they could redo the family pack again like they did with Win7 though, 3 licenses for $150 is a deal.

Yes quite possible, Quite possibly they might also do something with uefi bios to make it harder to change stuff hardware wise or change key hardware in case of failing.

They don't need to, the programme they have in place works just fine.

Theres rumours their updating the activation stuff to version 3.0

But quite possible it could just be fodder :(

What I'm surprised is Microsoft haven't got a Office + Windows Family Pack bundle which would really push end users to upgrade.

Because the last time they tried something similar (back in the days of Windows 9x) the Justice Department and EU (at the instigation of Apple) landed on them like King Kong?

Please cite source. Two boxed products sold at a single discounted price - where have they been banned doing that?

I'm not sure but allot can say that they get allot of flack from competitors for anti competitive tactics which might fall into the bundling of both. But if they Offered Both a non bundle and a bundle then I don't see a issue but if its oem bundles then ya companies that offer office like products would call foul.

Especially if its Windows 8 and the next office.

They effectively offer a 'bundled price' when they give deep discount who purchase a computer with Windows then buy Microsoft Office at a discounted price. I was thinking of the bundle more at the retail end of the equation (I should have been clearer) where one can pick up the two separate boxes and 50% or something to that effect.

    • This is weird. Mythos is more unrestricted compared to Fable. Technically it poses more risk!!
    • This is a great thing, I always have issues with Verizon while inside of certain football stadiums due to the saturation and walls blocking signal so a LOS way to connect would be great. Verizon was supposed to be offering sat data this year but I've not heard a word of it lately. Dude is sending rockets into space in a cheap manner, low waste foot print and has a great product with solar/battery tech. We would be so far behind China right now if not for him and a push to get back into space.
    • illegally? Proof of that? Seems you are posting misinformation or well a pure straight up lie cause there is zero proof of such a thing. But I get it...
