I am familiar with PhoneView for Mac and DiskAid for PC, but I haven't used either in a while. I have some pictures and videos sent back and forth via MMS between me and a friend of mine, though the conversation thread is insanely long and there's no way I can get all the way back to "Save Video" or "Save Image" on all of these. Importing pictures through iPhoto (Mac) or Picture Import (PC) only pulls images and videos that appear in Photos on my iPhone.

Any ideas?

If your iPhone is Jailbroken and you have an iPhone file viewer application, you can navigate to these directories to try and find the files (they won't be in any logical order or naming convention):

  • /var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments or
  • /var/mobile/Library/SMS/Parts

Otherwise PhoneView may still work out for you. That's all I can suggest...

You can try this:

Although I have never used it myself as I have not had a need to; plus my iPhone is always Jailbroken ;)

Ok that's great to hear then, happy to be of service :)

To be honest I wasn't sure about that software and its exact functionality, but looks like it worked a treat for you and may do so for others on the forums in the future!
