Izlude
I once had this thick old book (hard cover and had a sleeve cover) I think the front had hanging cranes and paper lanterns with some other paper crafts. I forgot what the title was, but I'm going to try to guess it said Magic with paper and crafts (might not be it). I'm wondering if anyone has seen a book similar or the exact book I'm talking about. Within, there were various projects involving paper scoring, folding, etc... I've lost it since ages back. Looking to find it again or any books with advanced paper crafts :)

DoubleYouSee
My father has a very old book as you've described... I'll snap a shot next time I am at his place. Even if it isn't the one you're looking for, it's an excellet origami resource... lots of advanced models, many of which I have yet to find anywhere else... (it has a pink spine on the dust cover, IIRC)
