LittleBigPlanet Vita E3 Trailer

Got this in my email today....eta is about 10mins, really looking forward to trying this out as I've been itching for some new game.

Nice, you lucky SOB.

I applied as well, hoping I get my invite in a bit, and you just got it earlier as much different time zone. At least one can hope that is the case LOL

Well, never got an email about being accepted into the Beta. Oh well.

Didn't have the Vita when this was announced but will certainly be picking it up. Been playing the PSP version that was given away free after the downtime.

Does it work on the Vita? Cause I swear I grabbed it.

EDIT - NVM, I did grab it, downloading it now. Nice.

So I've played a bit of it so far, they only have 4 levels: a typical story type level, a race type level with the countdown timer, a versus map where you control small tanks and another limbo inspired level. With essentially only 2 proper platforming levels with Sackboy, they are quite fun to play and I probably enjoy the race one the most of those two. The game looks amazing on this screen which really shouldn't surprise me at this point but it looks just as good as it's PS3 counterpart.

I do find that the touch stuff you can interact with sometimes can be a bit unresponsive. I don't have issues when it's a simple, tap the back to push this out or tap the front to push it in, but it's ones where you actually have to drag it a bit. I find that I've had issues where it doesn't seem to recognize the input at all which can get annoying for some levels like the race where it can hurt your score. Outside of that touch stuff I don't really have many complaints as I've really only played through each level about twice.

I just started playing LBP2 on PS3 but for whatever reason I find the grapple hook easier to use in this version. On the PS3 I was definitely having a hard time getting used to it though this one seems to be a bit easier for me (maybe It's because I spent Sunday played LBP2 for the first time so I got a somewhat decent amount of practice in with it. I will say that I can see this being a game I enjoy more on this system as I there seems to be so many more options with regards to how much time you want to invest making it perfect for on the go or at home.

I grabbed a couple community levels to check them out, and they had a game that was like the mutant blobs albeit much simpler at this point. Also had a game of checkers that someone created and a lot of other levels show the real potential there with this game. Really looking forward to what the memorizer can offer in terms of making a game within a game where you can have proper save points. If anything I think this could be a huge game for Vita based on what you can do with it. I've never been much into level building myself but will definitely check it out here and see what it's like at some point. I imagine the touch screen will make things easier but I'm yet to try that theory so far.

Nice, sounds promising. I did not realize touch controls were implemented as much as they sound like they are, not sure how they will play out, but I am hoping they are like all the other Vita games, and just take some time to get used to.

It is the community aspect of this game that really gives me high, high hopes. Buy one game, potentially have 100's to play. That right there is something pretty special for the Vita, and this could be the title that really takes the Vita to the next level IMO.

  • 1 month later...

Looks like they've finally given this a release date of Sept. 25th in North America and Europe gets it just about a week earlier on the 19th. Anyways looking forward to this and will most likely be a digital download for me. Could see this game being one I play a lot of so being able to boot up a level or two here and there would be nice (without having to worry about swapping game cards).

More details here...

It?s time. Time to reveal the LittleBigPlanet PS Vita release date! The game will be available in North America on Tuesday, September 25th. That?s right, in just a few short weeks you?ll experience Sackboy?s next adventure, set on the mysterious traveling planet of Carnevalia.

We?ve put together a featurette video for the game, which you can watch up at the top of this post. The video will tell you a little bit more about LittleBigPlanet Vita?s story.

Thanks to the PS Vita?s unique features, you?ll be able to play completely new game experiences and share your levels with the world wherever you are and whenever you feel like it. You can take pictures of anything you see while you?re out and about, and use them to decorate Sackboy or customize your level. It?s never been easier to make your cat or dog the hero of your level!

By the way, it?s not too late to pre-order the game and get some bonus BioShock or Knights of Old costumes.

Yeah I'm considering the DD version of this too, I have about ?150 of HMV store vouchers to use though, every passing day is a worry given their financial situation. Hoping they stick around long enough for the new revised PS3 and will pick up with that voucher.

    • The fact that memory in general is so high I have to take a loan out to build a computer now is just beyond stupid. Who's really to blame here? Low supply or high demand?
    • Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) 18.1.5.5 by Razvan Serea Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) is a utility for completely removing AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL graphics drivers and related packages from your system, attempting to eliminate all leftovers (including registry entries, folders and files, driver store). Though AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL drivers can usually be removed via the Windows Control Panel, this uninstaller tool was created for situations where standard uninstall fails, or when you need to fully remove NVIDIA or ATI graphics card drivers. After using this driver cleaner, your system will behave as though it’s the first time you’re installing a new driver—similar to a fresh Windows installation. As with all such tools, we recommend creating a restore point beforehand, allowing you to undo changes if issues arise. If you're having trouble installing an older or newer driver, try it—there are reports that it resolves such problems. Recommended usage: The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best. Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe). It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues. You do NOT need to uninstall the driver prior using DDU. Requirements: .NET Framework 4.8 Compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11 (32-bit or 64-bit) Note: Using on Insider Preview builds is at your own risk. WACUP 1.99.51.24568 Preview changelog: Fixed a deadlock seen from the recent crash reports when doing some of the drag + drop actions within the media library window Fixed a loading crash seen related to a problem with some of the artwork cache image files being restored which should now be better handled allowing for the bad image to be removed without it failing Fixed a deadlock seen from the recent crash reports when the internal metadata cache clearing is triggered which could block the main ui thread for too long with this now being moved to a background thread Fixed some performance issues with some of the methods related to determining artwork support which mainly affected the local library import / refresh (this is still slower for some compared to other players because there's more data & artwork aspects being checked for which means doing more processing on a single file despite the best of attempts to reduce duplicate / heavy processing where possible) Fixed a crash with the JTFE based missing files hotkey which no one seems to have used for an age for this to appear (maybe it's time to seriously consider stripping out features that aren't being used) Fixed how some of the file types which use extra information to reference their sub-songs is handled which was preventing some from being correctly resolved back to their base file (noticed fixing above) Fixed an issue with the handling of files with underscores in their filepath which wasn't being correctly handled causing some of the filename to be lost when shown as the title if title reading is delayed Fixed a few things that might be behind NotSoDirect not being stable for some setups though am still not certain that the changes done for this are going to fully resolve the problem from the crash reports Fixed the OS toast handling when there's no prior shortcut in the OS start menu to now create the shortcut (needed to allow the yes/no buttons for the new build / post-release toast) to be done as a hidden one so it's less likely to cause annoyance for those not wanting to see it whilst still allowing this less than ideal OS api implementation requirement to be met to avoid toasts without the needed buttons Fixed a regression when moving from taglib1 to taglib2 which broke some of the handling in place to allow for external programs to still access files when wacup has a held open cached instance of the file Everything else Updated cppwinrt (gen_win10shell.dll) to 3.0.260520.1 (26 May 2026) Updated libcurl (libcurl.dll) to 8.2.1 (24 Jun 2026) Updated Monkey's Audio (in_ape.dll) to 13.15 (28 Jun 2026) Updated mpg123 (mpg123.dll) to 1.33.6 (6 Jun 2026) Updated OpenSSL (libcurl.dll) to 3.5.7 (9 Jun 2026) Updated pugixml to 1.16 (16 Jun 2026) Updated taglib (tag2.dll) to 2.3.0 (11 May 2026) Updated vgmstream (in_vgmstream.dll) to the latest Git commit from 28 Jun 2026 Download: WACUP 64-bit | 9.6 MB (Freeware) Download: WACUP 32-bit View: WACUP Website | Screenshots Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
    • "over a thousand engineering hours" and started selling it but could not take a couple of minuets to send an AI email to ask permission. What an expensive lesson.
