http://www.businessi...1#ixzz1zUwcWD6L Btw, the protest/movement has spread to Twitter and Reddit like wildfire. The photos and comments on so many of them are hilarious.

Made me laugh. Good one Boz :)

Sorry but I'm not debating about Apple suing everyone. They shouldn't, it's anti-competitive.

I was arguing his "argument" about how Apple designs are boring and should change.

fair enough but its part of the bigger picture, apple aren't innovating anymore, they are frightened of the competition and are tyring to remove it instead of trying to work with them and make a better product for everyone

btw don't samsung make the screens that are in the ipad?

Boycott Apple, Boycott Google, Boycott MS, Boycott Nokia, Boycott Samsung

I read on the front page all the time how technies seem to think they know better then the "average" person, really they just come across as sad idiots wasting their time on nothing important and being a sports fan using tech manufacturers as teams.

Its called a debate/discussion. People do it all the time even professionally and on a broad range of topics.

Totally agree.

I don't see how this protest will really hurt Apple either. Any fan of Android obviously wouldn't be buying an iPhone or iPad anyway, would they? Derp.

That's all fine and dandy, but half the time people get into these threads to call each other names. I mean, we're getting into who has what in their signature now.

(not calling you out either as I often agree with you, just making a point)

It wont hurt Apple at all. Just some people trying to feel important. I still recommend Apple products to people and will continue to do so. (I explain other choices to) Banning products or boycotting just isnt good for anyone or competition.

Best. Quote. Ever. I want to tattoo this.

Maybe people should try it then, instead of the usual, you're a fanboy, Ban this, hope this dies discussion, don't shy away, your as guilty, stopping reading someones post that you didn't agree with.

Whats the most laughable, is the term fanboy is tossed around by people who are as guilty if not more so then the one they are calling.

Its a gadget! They are all suing each other, they are not football teams.

I have a iPad, I have a galaxy tab cause I wanted to try out the different operating systems. I hear the differences of opinion and see what the outcomes are, I want Android to survive, I want iOS to continue, I don't want one to banned from sale, but I also look in disdain on Samsungs original lack of originality that seems standard for Korean and Chinese manufacturers.

The worst is when someone brings up the old Chinese poor labour not seeming to understand

A) Their Gadget is built in a similar factory

B) Korea is just as bad

I dont toss out the word fanboy or troll myself. Those just stirr up problems. As for not responding because I dont agree, furthest from the truth for me. I dont respond when I am insulted tho.

And yes, this is a debate but things do get out of hand. Nature of debates, even professionally things get out of control sometimes.

Of course you can blame Apple. There's something called business ethics you know. Trying to prevent competition and innovation by abusing a flawed patent system is at best unethical.

There is no such thing as Business Ethics.. anyone who says there is, is delusional.

Microsoft used to buy companies just to shut them down.. Google manipulates search results, and keeps massive records on everything everyone does.. Hardware manufactures have been suing eachother since the beginning of patent law..

Apple has done NOTHING new. They just got more press before it..

Before the popularity of iPhone, and Apple, no one would have cared.. They wouldn't even be news stories on them, much less front page news like there is now.

It's like people have either a really short attention span / memory, or they're kids posting who don't know anything about what went on more than 5 years ago. :pinch:

Meh, don't really agree. The patent system is at the heart of the problem. Everyone outside of the US should be boycotting the US Patent System until it is fixed - that would create a **** storm.

I agree 100% the Patent system is ****ed.. It needs an overhaul.. TILL then however I'm not gonna yell at a company who is working within it, even moreso when they aren't alone, but are getting all the flack.

Exactly. And it's not like Apple are trying to get all of Samsungs phones banned. Just specific devices. And i'm sure there are companies who are suing Apple for infringements as well. But nope, Boz wont report on that now will he?

I think Kony is actually successful.. all African countries have created a unified military force to hunt Kony. It's a matter of time when they will catch him and the campaign Kony2012 was actually a very big part of that. I think they already caught his second in charge.

If you really believe the Kony campaign was successful... then.... BAHAHAHAHAH... Good one.

So your argument is that everybody does ****ty things so we should never hold anybody accountable for their actions ever?

Ted murdered a man. Well Jerry, Jim, and Jill all killed people before he did. Its nothing new. Whatever.

    • Interesting share -- however it does not make sense: Email messages get stored somewhere, so how is Delta Chat "based on email" and decentralized without actually storing anything? By Web3 standard practices, the various Relays would require dedicated storage to make messages available to the recipients (like a large series of message queue channels, akin to racks of traditional post office boxes)... and Contacts must be two-way confirmed in order for encryption keys to be exchanged (ostensibly every key-pair is uniquely bound between sender and recipient) and the Relays would preserve the public keys in order to facilitate message carriage... or every device stores all sorts of keys and contact info. All of this to say, decentralized messaging is like running Bluesky nodes except instead of discovering/browsing public feeds by various posters (at the given node) these Delta Chats would be relaying encrypted messages (via Relays) that only trusted recipients would have the appropriate decryption key (their own private key) to read it. But this doesn't solve the "it's like email" sales pitch. The only way it's like email is that there's encrypted binary stuff being transported from your app into the federated ether of Delta Chat Relays for others to decrypt (hopefully only the intended recipient)... but outside of this federated relays framework, it is absolutely nothing like email.
    • Hasleo Backup Suite Free 5.8.2.2 by Razvan Serea Hasleo Backup Suite Free is a free Windows backup and restore software, which embeds backup, restore and cloning features, it is designed for Windows operating system users and can be used on both Windows PCs and Servers. The backup and restore feature of Hasleo Backup Suite can help you back up and restore the Windows operating systems, disks, partitions and files (folders) to protect the security of your Windows operating system and personal data. The cloning feature of Hasleo Backup Suite can help you migrate Windows to another disk, or easily upgrade a disk to an SSD or a larger capacity disk. System Backup & Restore / Disk/Partition Backup & Restore Backup Windows operating system and boot-related partitions, including user settings, drivers and applications installed in these partitions, which ensures that you can quickly restore your Windows operating system once it crashes. Viruses, power failure, or other unknown reasons may cause data loss, so it is a good habit to regularly back up the drive that stores important files, you can at least recover lost files from the backup image files in the event of a disaster. System Clone / Disk Clone / Partition Clone Migrate the Windows operating system from one disk to another SSD or larger disk without reinstalling Windows, applications and drivers. Clone entire disk to another disk and ensure that the contents of the source disk and the destination disk are exactly the same. Clone a partition completely to the specified location on the current disk or another disk and ensure that the data will not be changed. File Backup & Restore Back up specified files(folders) instead of the entire drive to another location to protect your data, so you can quickly restore files(folders) from the backup image files when needed. Incremental/Differential/Full Backup Different backup modes are supported, you can flexibly choose data protection schemes, which can improve backup performance and save storage space while ensuring data security. Delta Restore Delta restore uses advanced delta detection technology to check the changed blocks on the destination drive and restore only the changed blocks, so it has a faster restore speed than the traditional full restore. Universal Restore This feature can help us restore the Windows operating system to computers with different hardware and ensure that Windows can work normally without any hardware compatibility issues. Hasleo Backup Suite 5.8.2.2 changelog: Improved creation of bootable media that supports the UEFI CA 2023 certificate Fixed an issue that caused system restore to fail Fixed an issue where file backup could not list drives under Windows ARM64 Fixed an issue that caused backup of MacOS files/folders shared via Samba to fail Fixed an issue that caused "Smart Backup" to not work properly Fixed other minor bugs Download: Hasleo Backup Suite 5.8.2.2 | 39.7 MB (Freeware) Links: Hasleo Backup Suite Website | Hasleo Backup Suite Guide | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware

    • I looked into a few echo devices to find they were riddled with adverts over time. No thanks ill stick to my homeassistant, smart plugs, smart bulbs and cameras that don't cost me a monthly fee and are cheaper to buy. No adverts also.
