I just sold my Windows 7 copy for ?70 on ebay - I paid ?40 at launch as I had pre-ordered. I was hoping windows 8 would also have a pre-order deal going on so not sure as yet whether I've made a mistake or not. I'd rather own a full license as opposed to an upgrade.

On the other hand I do still have a retail Windows Vista Upgrade box kicking about - can you upgrade from an upgrade?

I actually put a retail version of Windows 7 on a laptop I have which previously had vista installed. Would I be able to use upgrade on another PC with the licence key which is on the laptop sticker?

I voted no. I won't downgrade from my current setup to Windows 8.
