BELLINGHAM, Wash. ?

Sheriff's officers say a Ferndale, Wash., woman accused of dousing her boyfriend's tent with lighter fluid and igniting it with him inside has been arrested.

Sgt. Larry Flynn tells the Bellingham Herald that the tent was badly damaged Wednesday night but the boyfriend escaped without any serious burns.

Flynn says 26-year-old Jennifer Marie Sharp and her 34-year-old boyfriend were arguing at a campground when he decided to crawl into a tent and go to sleep. The officer says that's when the tent was set afire.

Flynn says the woman is accused of hurling firewood, camp chairs and other items at the man after he escaped the tent. Then she wandered off. Deputies picked her up and she was booked into the Whatcom County Jail for investigation of arson and domestic violence assault.

The boyfriend reportedly suffered welts, bruises, cuts and scrapes.
