A UFO investigator named Blake Cousins flew to Manila, Philippines to interview a man named Victor who was the alleged victim of a strange attack on July 13, 2012. On Friday the 13th, the 80-year-old farmer was reportedly attacked by a strange creature while he was gardening. There is photographic and video evidence of that attack. Now, the investigator has revealed the identity of the creature involved in the brutal attack, and it is certainly unexpected.
According to Thirdphaseofmoon, the attacker was a manananggal. The UFO researcher obtained that information during an interview with the victim himself and his younger brother Jose, who witnessed the attack and recorded much of it on video before running to help his brother. The victim explained that the creature drinks human blood and eats human livers, typically at night while people are sleeping. However, this attack took place during the day.
In Filipino folklore, the creature that attacked Victor is known as an aswang, or asuwang. The aswang is a bloodsucking creature, like the vampire, and the fear of these creatures dates back to at least the 1500s.
The term aswang means "eater of the dead," and these creatures are believed to be female. Manananggal is a term that is interchangeable with aswang, but manananggals are aswangs that fly on bat-like wings under certain conditions. By definition, manananggals typically appear as beautiful women, but the creature caught on tape attacking the elderly farmer was far from beautiful.
