nekrosoft13
Currently I have a ATT family plan with Moto Atrix and Unlimited Data plan, as long as I don't drop the unlimited data plan it will always be available to me. Anyway, has anyone in similar situation tried upgrading their phone though Best Buy mobility? I noticed that they are the only one outside of ATT that have option "Keep my current data plan" and I'm just unsure/worried if that really applies to ATT unlimited data as well. Has anyone done upgrade though Best Buy? I looked at Amazon Wireless, and they only let you choose new data plan, so I would loose my unlimited data. And with Best Buy I can buy online and pick up at store.
goretsky Supervisor Posted July 19, 2012 Supervisor Share Posted July 19, 2012 Hello, I lost my unlimited data plan with AT&T when I upgraded to a 4G device. They told me this type of data plan was no longer offered with that type of connection. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
nekrosoft13
hmm, i'm on 4G device now, i know atrix is not LTE, but ATT calls it 4G and i was allowed to keep unlimited data.
Kondrath
I work at AT&T and if anyone tries to tell you that you can not keep it, they're just trying to make a bit more commission by bumping you up to one of the current plans. You absolutely can keep it, even if you're going from 3G to LTE data. If the AT&T corporate stores won't do it, try at a kiosk or something. A lot of times the authorized dealers are more laid back. As for best buy, I don't know how they work.
goretsky Supervisor Posted July 21, 2012 Supervisor Share Posted July 21, 2012 Hello, It was an AT&T Store (not an affiliate) that did this. Is it too late to get my unlimited data plan back? Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
