How best to keep contacts in sync? (using IMAP email now)

Recommended Posts

I have taken out my Exchange Server which used to keep all my email data, calendar and contacts in sync across devices and moved completely over to gmail for domains using IMAP which allows me to access email and archives across devices.

I also added gmail as Exchange on my iPhone which means email is synced across devices (marked as read when read on my iPhone or PC etc).

The only thing I can't understand is how I can setup contacts via gmail to be accessed in Outlook 2010 and also keep those in sync on other devices like my iPhone.

At the moment I have a backed up copy of my contacts in a Outlook Data file in Outlook 2010, which I can access from my iPhone when it syncs to "My PC contacts", but I'd prefer to have my contacts on the cloud, like gmail, which is the only contacts and synced across everything.

Any ideas? Help appreciated!
