Signed up ? I clicked at Hotmail, and it seemed to be automatic.

Same with Live -- I occasionally use Outlook.com's interface, but using my old Live account, mail.live.com redirects to outlook.com automatically. I use my ISP's mail server for the primary (which is also tied into Outlook.com for convenience), Live is for my phone, and GMail and Yahoo as "site registration accounts", AKA spam accounts that I never check except for an activation when needed.. keeps my real accounts spam free. I have no need for another mail address.

Changed over to outlook from hotmail and it's quite nice. Still using gmail as my primary email and hotmail outlook as backup though.

I like gmails functionality more and hot... er outlook still has the annoying feature where you cannot whitelist an email address or domain.

Yes - signed up for a new address, set up an alias for my existing Hotmail account.

I'm not going to use it as primary address though.

I could never get my forename.surname@gmail.com however I saw Outlook.com on Neowin and rushed over to see if I could get anything when Neowin first covered it. Amazingly I got my name and the shortened version of my name (thanks to my HTC One X I could do it all easily on the train home). My main account it still at Yahoo and its going to be hard to move as Ive had it since the 90's but @Outlook.com sounds so much more professional.

BTW - Does anyone know if POP3 access will keep my new accounts active or do I need to sign into the website every 30 days?
