Posted Image

Microsoft has just unveiled a new look and feel to its corporate logo. Following 25 years from its first introduction, this is the first major Microsoft logo change in the company's history.

I really like the new logo. It's clean and simplified.

It had seemed that they weren't going to change it: http://www.neowin.ne...eover-after-all

Wait, the Windows logo (without perspective) is now part of the Microsoft logo. While at the same time they use a logo with fake perspective as the new Windows logo?

A nice quiet blue would be better:

That "Next Microsoft" design experiment by some random guy was pretty awesome but this is nice and safe for Microsoft which in more ways is probably a better way to go. As safe as it is, I actually like it too.

I like the symbolism that ties in with each of the colors in the logo. What's yellow though? ;)

I wonder how many millions of euros they spent on developing this.

The Windows and Office logos in perspective continue to look awkward. Especially since the Microsoft and Xbox logos are front on.

The entire budget which was originally intended to fund a visual overhaul for the Windows 8 desktop.

The entire budget which was originally intended to fund a visual overhaul for the Windows 8 desktop.

Pretty sure that budget went into studies on how to frustrate the end-user as much as possible.
