Stalagmite Ice Cubes

Recommended Posts

How did that happen ?

Put them in the freezer on a flat surface yesterday, freezer is a chest freezer and never moves, come to get them out today and I have stalagmite ice-cubes

One of them is huge, but they were all beginning to raise up, nothing was touching the water / ice

It was alive, it was trying to escape, to get out, to fly again... and you killed it, you froze it to death. *cough*

:o

Something aroused it.

The chicken, no doubt :p

Hot water, condensation, thawing of frost and drippage from above the ice tray.

that's one option.

Yea it looks like something like that but it was cold water from cold tap, I normally make a tray every day or two for the dogs, they have formed an ice-cube habit :D

Cold water is a lot warmer than freezing water ;)
