imac theme for Windows 8 RTM

3 posts in this topic

imac theme for Windows 8 RTM is an osx style theme made by Pavlos Pitselas.(ZEUSosX)

imac is not just a theme. With new code added to Windows system files , Windows becomes behaving like Mac OS X .

When forinstance we select a folder as 'icon', we have separate mouse over image for the folder and other image for the text.

When we select a folder as 'details' we can have stripes, and mouse over images like mac os X , blue hover and white text .

New code added to Windows system files...

i did first to windows 7 [see forexample http://zeusosx.devia...32bit-207577973 and http://zeusosx.devia...-7-64-207697671 ], and now i transport [after modifying some] my code to windows 8 .

the code, controls the selection of the folders is in explorerframe.dll so i had to pass it from win to win 8 consumers preview, realease preview and finali to windows 8 rtm , there are not just changing the original parameters but also added new code lines. the complete destruction is different, and made as to enable to some parts having different background [to details and content] .

to windows 7 with additional code i also had added to shell32.dll , so the Preview Pane setted to Top, and Details Pane setted to right (like to osx) .

but to windows 8 the shell is different and i have not free time, i have just set the preview pane to right and details to the bottom as it was the normal microsoft to win 7. (to win 8 normaly there are both preview and details are setted to the right).
