Notifications dropdown list tweaked

Recommended Posts

Marcel (Redmak) has tweaked the notifications drop down list in forums and the main page to show a lot quicker, had something to do with:

optimized the "setting notifications to read" query

After testing main page notifications, they now show after around 500ms (firebug) when before it was anything up to 2000ms.

We're also still working on locating the issues that cause slowdowns, these little tweaks go a long way to resolving the bigger picture.

Edit: Combined notifications isn't yet implemented on the forums, it's a bit down our "to-do" list

Any chance for combined notifications for FPN comments?

I know I want to slowly stop posting there, so not really a long term issue for me, appearantly you guys want to help me pull out of FPN comments. :p

Other than that, everything seems pretty cool so far, I miss notifications on the mobile site on the front page...

Any news about that?

I like it it used to have an annoying lag.... I can't wait till we have real-time facebook style notifications... remember the hook I showed yah neobond/timan/etc...???

Someone just replied to one of my posts, but it didn't appear in my notifications this time, it has been working up until now, I haven't changed any ignore / notifications preferences

Yep, not getting notifications for any replies atm, checked the tick boxes and they are all set as they should be, and as they have always been

Any ideas ? I`m missing replies, last notification was yesterday and I've had a few replies today

I'm not having issues getting notifications. I am however experiencing an oddity. I've cleared cache on 3 different computers yet I still see 2 envelopes if I have a notification waiting. It looks perfectly normal until I get a notification, then it shows 2 open envelopes.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates. Diagram faster with keyboard shortcuts. draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 changelog: Uses electron 42.5.0 #2452 Updates to draw.io core 30.2.6.
