As you may know already, Time Square in NYC has been transformed into a Windows 8 city! Check out some of their Facebook pics posted below!!

I thought the same thing. But it is Microsoft, and Windows 8 is a bit more of a gamble than usual so they probably justified it very simply: we have the cash, let's make sure people know about our latest endeavour.

They did the same thing back when Windows 95 was released.
