That is sickening that they would keep a snake in a conditon that it would eat itself. Not feeding it? Too small enclosure? I don't now. But the idiots filmng should have alerted the shop keeper who should be equipped to stop the animal from doing this.

But they're so cute!

I don't know how I feel about this. If it wants to die, then well, it wants to die. But another side of me thinks the person filming and shop owners should have done something to stop it.

Also: Agreed, this isn't funny no matter how you look at it.

IMO that snake was maltreated. It was probably starving, and since no food was available, it did what it did.
Extreme hunger can make creatures (including humans) do quite bizarre things when the primeval survival instinct takes over.

Edit: This is in no way funny.Whatever adjective you can use to describe this, funny isn't of of them.

Exactly. And, it probably didn't start off in the water bowl.

If you were a hot dog, and you were stranded on a desert island, and... never mind.

This is awesome! Too bad they didn't show it till the end. Would have liked to see how far it got before it dropped.

And by the way, snakes cannibalism is nothing new. Although it's the first time I've seen one chomping on itself. Downing their own eggs and kids is regular occurence. In fact, if it weren't for that, the earth would be crawling with snakes. Same with crocs and gators. So it's just nature at work.
