Hello all.
I have search every option on the messenger app in windows 8 to start a video chat but failed to find it. My simple question is, how can I video chat if possible on the messenger app instead of Skype.

just a random question.
is there any way to change the metro background to something I choose?

No, the messaging app is purely text-only, currently. Nor can you CURRENTLY video-chat to messenger friends using Skype, however, that functionality will be coming "soon".
And no, I don't believe the start-screen background can be changed to a custom picture - only the tattoo's and colours they provide in the start-screen settings.
