neufuse Veteran Posted October 31, 2012 Veteran Share Posted October 31, 2012 This started happening, not that I don't like the fact MS is advertising the heck out of this, but the full page ad is annoying every time i refresh a page

The ad isn't so bad. just click on the little x in the upper right corner. BAM!...gone. the ad is sized to the original size of the window, it takes up the entire window and you can't even see the X until the animation is complete it only looks smaller because i made the window bigger to show that it is coming from neowin

BAM!...gone. it's not so much that as, neowin has a policy of not allowing those kind of adsneowin is very strict on what kind of ads it allows, but every now and then these ones sneak through and have to be reported

+BudMan MVC Posted November 1, 2012 MVC Share Posted November 1, 2012 Who exactly is going to buy that from such an ad? Yeah what I like to do is support the company that throws **** in my face.. Hey your browsing some website - BAM here is a full screen AD, don't forget to buy a Surface.. Sorry if anything that makes me NOT WANT to buy one - ****es me off, every time I see one I would hate the company and product just a little bit more. I am curious as to who ever did anything with an online ad?? I have never, nor will I ever click into or buy anything from an online ad. I don't care how slick or even unobtrusive. So I see a flashing monkey on the top of my screen -- what tells people to click that?? Only thing I can think when seeing such crap is kill it with fire! If wanted to buy your product or get info about your product - I would go to your website, not the one I am on. Hum and Shaun N. 2 Share
Hum
I never buy anything from an on-line advertising. If I want something, I Search for it, compare brands, and prices -- then I'll buy it. Advertisers take note: you are only guaranteeing that I will not buy products thrown in my face. Ice_Blue 1 Share
Growled Member Posted November 2, 2012 Member Share Posted November 2, 2012 Advertisers take note: you are only guaranteeing that I will not buy products thrown in my face. Same here. I will go out of the way to buy another product if you annoy me enough. Btw, I was being sarcastic in my post above.

neufuse Veteran Posted November 2, 2012 Author Veteran Share Posted November 2, 2012 thanks! was a tad bit annoying to have to sit through a full page animation before you could close the ad.... that loaded almost on every page load, they must of taken out a high number of ad hits..
