heard of filtering for IE? get this and you'll never see another ad in IE again, except for in videos :|

i could care less about the ad's I am just saying that ad is annoying

I agree with G there. The ad isn't so bad. just click on the little x in the upper right corner. BAM!...gone.

the ad is sized to the original size of the window, it takes up the entire window and you can't even see the X until the animation is complete it only looks smaller because i made the window bigger to show that it is coming from neowin

it's not so much that as, neowin has a policy of not allowing those kind of ads

neowin is very strict on what kind of ads it allows, but every now and then these ones sneak through and have to be reported

Who exactly is going to buy that from such an ad?

Yeah what I like to do is support the company that throws **** in my face.. Hey your browsing some website - BAM here is a full screen AD, don't forget to buy a Surface..

Sorry if anything that makes me NOT WANT to buy one - ****es me off, every time I see one I would hate the company and product just a little bit more.

I am curious as to who ever did anything with an online ad?? I have never, nor will I ever click into or buy anything from an online ad. I don't care how slick or even unobtrusive. So I see a flashing monkey on the top of my screen -- what tells people to click that?? Only thing I can think when seeing such crap is kill it with fire! If wanted to buy your product or get info about your product - I would go to your website, not the one I am on.

I never buy anything from an on-line advertising.

If I want something, I Search for it, compare brands, and prices -- then I'll buy it.

Advertisers take note: you are only guaranteeing that I will not buy products thrown in my face.

    • This makes me think of Dune for some reason.
    • I'm too old to return to the "good old days" when I was installing custom ROMs and tinkering with my devices - now I just want to turn it on and use it. I've read that banking and payment apps work on Murena /e/OS (I'll have to check the ones I use) and I also really want to support Fairphone 😉
