DENVER - A hateful message written on a Denver home is angering neighbors, according to a Monday report.

Last week a woman put "F*** off Crimigrants" on her home. Crimigrants is a mix of the words criminal and immigrants.

When neighbors complained about the curse word and called police, the homeowner changed the message to "No Crimigrants."

"It's ignorance," said neighbor Peter Stretton.

The home sits a few blocks from a school. One neighbor said that is what concerned her.

"It's not a message that anyone in this neighborhood really wants to project," said Christina Stretton. "I see kids walking by here. That's unfortunate that the kids have to see that."

Scripps Denver station 7NEWS contacted the woman who put up the message. She did not give her name but said she posted the sign because she has grown frustrated with the city of Denver. The woman said she has complained to the city about crime, graffiti and zoning issues in her neighborhood. She said those complaints have fallen on deaf ears.

"Yeah I think the sign is extreme," the woman said through her window. "The sign was put there for a reason because I've got government neglecting their jobs."

The woman also complained that she suspects one of her neighbors is in the country illegally. Her sign may be offensive but it is protected by free speech.

"I feel like we're going backwards," said neighbor Christina Stretton.

Crimigrants seems appropriate. Those people are criminals and immigrants. Note it's not about legal immigration.

There is no hate. The title is slanted towards helping illegal immigration.

Only idiots would make the direct connection between criminals and immigrants. Sadly these idiots are here as well.

There is a direct link between immigration and crimes caused by illegal immigrants. A percentage of immigration is that of Illegal immigrants. A undisclosed number of illegal immigrants contribute to the crimes in a given country. For starters, they're illegal right? Meaning they committed a crime in their immigration. Once here a good number of those illegal immigrants commit crimes. So only an idiot would not make a direct connection between immigration and criminals.

Are all immigrants criminals? no. Are all illegal immigrants criminals? YES Do all illegal immigrants commit other crimes? Most do.

  • The Federal Bureau of Prisons reports that 26.4 percent of inmates in federal prisons are non-U.S. citizens. Non-citizens are 8.6 percent of the nation?s adult population. However, federal prisons are not representative of prisons generally or local jails.
  • A Pew Hispanic Center study found that, of those sentenced for federal crimes in 2007, non-citizen Hispanics were 74 percent of immigration offenders, 25 percent of drug offenders, 8 percent of white collar offenders, and 6 percent of firearms offenders. Non-citizen Hispanics are 5.1 percent of the nation?s adult population. However, the report does not provide information for other crimes or for non-Hispanic immigrants.

A Government Accountability Office study from 2005 also found that most illegal immigrant arrests were happening in California, Texas and Arizona. The study sampled a prison population of more than 55,000 illegal immigrants, and found that 80 percent of all the arrests were in those three states.

first thing i thought of too was its not a bad message... she is being specific... criminals + immigrants.... Ask yourself "do you like foreign criminals in your country?" If not, then you agree with her.

Notice: before you say that's its racist and that i too am racist, know that i have a fiancee that is a foreigner that i am marrying next year.

Not all immigrants are illegal immigrants. It seems that the word 'immigrant' immediately draws a connotation to also being 'illegal' in your mind.

you are doing it reversely just like you are saying he has done. he specifically said "illegal immigrants" and your mind he is saying all. But its perfectly clear if you re-read without prejudice.

So, you are marrying a criminal then...nice. :p

Your interpretation of what you quoted is so very different than what was actually posted. How do you manage that? Not comprehending what you read or simply not paying attention to what you read? Or possibly simply injecting your misperception of what you read?

I mean I understand, I sometimes don't bother to read every word in a post before posting about said post. So I can be wrong in those instances. JUST LIKE YOU ARE NOW.

It was a direct response to Hum quoting Denis W:

Only idiots would make the direct connection between criminals and immigrants. Sadly these idiots are here as well.

And then drawing that Denis W's comments were in reference to ILLEGAL immigrants when Denis W's comments were in reference to LEGAL immigrants.

Maybe you both should double check what was being quoted before jumping to conclusions or blame the forum software that it doesn't do nested quoting.

The bottom line is that the words "Crimigrants" was made up by this woman, was she referring to ILLEGAL immigrants whose crime it is of how they entered the country, or is she referring to ALL immigrants (who both legally and illegally entered the country) and then go on to commit other crimes in her neighbourhood eg: Graffiti.

I don't think that it's fair that immigrants who enter legally get labelled in the category as illegal immigrants just because both groups are foreign. Illegal immigrants have committed a crime by definition in the law (it is a crime to enter the country illegally) but someone who has legally immigrated does not automatically that they must be committing crimes.

It's hard to tell which type of immigrant the woman is referring to, but by not being specific, it appears that they is referring to ALL immigrants and then everyone is quick to assume that she means Illegal ones.

Well there's a simple way to get rid of illegal immigrants, stop giving them jobs. But nope people don't want to do that because it would cost them a lot more money. A lot of people who work on farms are illegals, and it keeps food costs down. Same with gardening, landscaping, fast food, home depot (lol) etc etc.

If you get rid of those jobs, illegals wouldn't be able to live here. But at the same time be prepared to pay a lot more for those things, and most people don't want to do that.

Yes but it is costing the American taxper in terms of money spent on law enforcement, Prison, injury from crimes committed by illegals, and drug war. Homocides are directly linked to the crimes committed by illegal immigrants. So either we pay more for food, or we continue to pay more in terms of homocides, rapes, robberies, drugs, prostitution, child prostitution, etc... So a little increase in food costs would seem worth it in the long run.

According to the link you posted 6% of illegal immigrants are responsible homicides (well it says firearm offenses). 25% of them are drug offenders (probably bringing drugs in). And the rest are just in deportation centers for being illegal, ie no additional crimes commited. So your logic about most of them committing additional crimes is quite a bit off.

And yes you can claim that a little increase in food costs would be worth it in the long run, but the average American wouldn't think so. A 50c rise in gas prices causes people to go ape**** and blame Obama, now imagine if food, landscaping, constructing etc all started to cost more. People aren't going to be happy about it and no statistic is going to change that. Then you have the people who employ them who, without illegals, have to pay their employees a lot more (which cuts into their profits, their own salaries etc). Then you also have the jobs that most people wouldn't want to do that need to be filled because illegals aren't there to do them anymore.

So people will keep hiring illegals because at the end of the day most people only care about their interests, not the greater good or w/e you want to call it.

Wanna stop illegal immigration? take the jobs you don't like, start working for less, never go on strike, never call in sick, don't whine, don't complain , don't come to work hung over, learn how to work hard, etc etc.... whats the #1 reason for coming to America? Jobs. Typical white young America (Canada included) has a problem with a sense of entitlement. Here in Canada we 100% welcome immigrants (legal) because they WORK CIRCLES around any white person (yes, including myself). Some of my friends who own businesses ONLY hire Philippinos BECAUSE of the problems I started earlier. in fact, i know a couple people (whom i don't care for and hate that they do this) that will SAVE money because for every foreigner they hire, they can get rid of 2 white people.

    • Millions of users to benefit from Windows 11's new performance boost on Adobe Photoshop by Sayan Sen Despite the advent of AI-generated imagery, Adobe's Photoshop remains one of the most popular tools on this planet. Adobe does not have a publicly reported total user count but it's probably not wrong to assume there are millions. As of 2025, Adobe Creative Cloud has had approximately 41 million paid subscribers, many of whom likely use Photoshop. In addition, more than 166,000 companies worldwide are apparently also using the app. These figures are according to a very recent report by SQ Magazine. Out of them, it is fair to assume that many are probably running Windows. As such, there is good news for these users as Microsoft has announced Photoshop is getting a big 20% performance boost on x86-64 (AMD64) systems and a 13% bump-up on Arm devices. This is definitely great news for them as many have complained about the slow performance and general sluggishness of Photoshop on Windows 11 ever since the advent of the latter back in 2021. If you are wondering how Microsoft managed to do this, the answer lies in a combination of compiler-level optimizations and a technology called Sample Profile Guided Optimization (SPGO). According to Microsoft, Adobe worked closely with the company’s Visual C++ team and adopted the latest MSVC toolchain enhancements together with SPGO to squeeze more performance out of Photoshop’s CPU-bound workloads. Unlike traditional Profile Guided Optimization (PGO), which requires developers to create special instrumented builds and run lengthy training workloads, SPGO gathers performance data directly from optimized release binaries. This means Adobe could collect real-world usage information which gives a major advantage to this technique, as companies could leverage data collected from actual customer workloads rather than only relying on synthetic benchmark runs. In theory, this should allow optimizations to better reflect how users interact with software in the real world. Thanks to this, there are improvements to code layout, function inlining, hot-and-cold code separation, and other low-level tweaks that help processors execute instructions more efficiently. Essentially the compiler is better able to identify “hot” code paths, those which are most frequently executed, and optimize them accordingly.
    • "The 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD hits lowest price in over three months¨ I'd prefer to see the lowest price in over a year
    • Glad these prices are starting to come down, but that is still crazy. I bought the 2TB 9100 Pro (slightly more expensive version with PCIe 5.0) last year for $240.
    • The 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD hits lowest price in over three months by Sayan Sen Yesterday, we covered a really good deal wherein you can get a 4TB TeamGroup T-FORCE G50 NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD for a low price of just $400 with a special discount coupon. That's just $100 per TB, making it a very good offer during these hard times. The deal is still live, so you can check it out in its dedicated article here if you do not want to miss out. Meanwhile, if you don't have that kind of budget but still wish to buy an SSD for a good price, the 2TB variant of the TeamGroup SSD at $280 its lowest price in over three months. Meanwhile, those seeking 2TB but faster performance can check out Samsung's 990 PRO, which has hit the lowest price also in the last quarter or so, as it's on sale for $370 (purchase links under the specs table down below). Thus, you want a faster drive, get the 990 Pro, or you want more capacity, grab the TeamGroup 4TB linked in the first para. The 990 PRO is a PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD and still one of the fastest drives available today for under $500. Speaking of fast, sequential reads and writes are rated at 7450 MB/s and 6900 MB/s, respectively. The random throughputs for reads and writes are 1400K IOPS and 1550K IOPS, respectively. The 990 PRO is based on Samsung's 7th Gen V-NAND flash, and it too is TLC. It packs 2 gigs of LPDDR4 DRAM cache, which helps the random performance. The endurance rating for this is 1200 TBW (terabytes written), which should be sufficient for most users. The Samsung 990 PRO is compatible with the PlayStation 5, but if you are going to use the 990 PRO on a PC, check out the Samsung Magician app that lets you track your drive's health, update its firmware, customize various settings, and more.
