Our printer at work works near flawlessly. Traffic lights however always turn Red as I approach them.

i can change them sometimes... really.... i also mess with street lights as well...

It's actually wrong. The article states a few times that it's a bi-directional roundabout. It's not. There is no central roundabout, it just looks like one. It's actually just 6 small roundabouts with roads between.

Traffic lights are designed to save lives.

Printers are designed to use up precious resources and break when they are most needed. Yes, that applies to lasers as well.
