I did a search to see if this had been posted before, but didn't find anything (So sorry if it was). The forum's requirement that a word have more than two letters makes searching for "HP" rather difficult. lol

But this is rather interesting:

What this doesn't answer though is, wouldn't HP have done due diligence prior to a purchase of that size (Or any purchase for that matter)?

It sounds like HP's own accounting and acquisitions department is at fault here. What a mess.

I do as well, but they did hire two firms to do due diligence for them (Clearly a mistake) and both of those companies gave Autonomy a stamp of approval. I wonder if these firms would be culpable in any way...
