just realized that this could be the first ever windows since 2.0 (not including pro or servers) that doesn't include solitaire ... sad times we live in :p

It's still a free download from the Windows Store, perhaps they have not included it to encourage use of the store?

There are very few free solitaire apps that are as simple as the original one, this will be missed by a small number I'm sure

If you copied the games over from Windows 7 they would probably still work.

I hear the app store versions have annoying advertisements you have to watch.

Edit: Apparently simply copying them from Win7 doesn't work, but someone came up with a patch to fix them.

There's the official Microsoft Solitaire app in the store. It looks good, too! :)
